Honest Question: Have you ever tried CBD Oil? A friend suggested I try it out because I have an anxiety disorder. Sharing that with the world is scary. What is CBD?

CBD is a cannabidiol, an organic compound derived from the hemp plant Cannabis Sativa. Yes, CBD is technically a Marijuana derived medicine, but it does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol or THC.  Unlike it’s more popular cousin THC, it is not psychoactive and will not cause you to get a head high.

How Does CBD Oil Work?

It attaches to our CB1 receptors in our brain which triggers our body’s long-lasting natural endocannabinoid system to work more efficiently. Our own personal endocannabinoid system helps to regulate our immune responses, pain receptors, and sleep quality.

Is is Safe?

Although research on CBD Oil is growing, there’s no real way to monitor or standardize the industry at this time. In 2018, the FDA did approve CBD Oil usage for the treatment of some forms of epilepsy. Otherwise, there’s not a governing body that regulates or controls CBD Oil usage.

That doesn’t mean that CBD Oil is unsafe it just means two things. First, Research your products. Get to know what is in the CBD Oil you’re ordering and ask questions. Second, consult your doctor. It can interact with other medications so double checking never hurt anyone.
